2 Chron 26:1-10

Uzziah was a mighty fine warrior
Just sixteen when he became king!
(Yeah, the Chronicles recorded it twice) [1,3]
And did right in the sight of the Lord,
Just like his daddy – before he backslid, (4)
But he prospered while he did the right thing. (5)
Went to war against those Philistines;
Broke down the walls of Gath and Jebneh,
And did the same to the walls of Ashdod.
Built cities among the Philistines; (6)
Fought Arabians and Meunites, too,
And took from the Ammonites tribute. (8)
(Oh, what a wacked out, crazy world!
You’d think they’d get a clue;
“Follow the Lord, whatever you do.”)
Uzziah built towers at the Corner Gate (9)
At the Valley Gate and a third at the Corner!
Built towers in the wilderness with cisterns;
Had all kind o’ critters t’ feed an’ water! (10)
