Yes, He defeated the darkness;
Yes, He delivered you (a Christian).
No, he did not move every mountain;
Nor did He part every sea.
Get your doctrine straight as you walk;
Don’t deceive others with false talk.
Sound doctrine you must embrace
And obey Him in that glorious race
To the place that for us is reserved
By the One with strength and nerve
To submit Himself to death for all
That we may walk that glorious hall
Into perfect company in eternal heaven
Where there is no lack of spice or leaven;
That place with angels, songs and sights,
Lacking nothing and full with delights.
