2 Chron 26

Uzziah was just sixteen years old
(Had to say it twice in the Chronicles;
Must have been a record for the books!)
Built Elath and restored it to Judah;
Kept the people from going after Buddha
Or any of the other fake gods.
Made momma Jecoliah right proud!
Broke down the walls of Ashdod; (6)
Folk with the wrong kind o’ god;
Those wicked Philistines, don’t ya know,
Causin’ havoc wherever they’d do.
Took tribute from those Ammonites (8)
Along with some Arabians and Meunites.
Takin’ that tribute his fame did spread
To all the kings; he was a ahead:
Built towers and hewed many-a cistern; (10)
Had a huge army of three-hundred thousand. (13)
But undone with pride, his ending was sad;
Entered the temple reserved for the priests; (16)
Behaved blasphemously, unlike a king.
Azariah said, “How can you do this thing?” (18)
Eighty priests joined and said, “You got to get out!
You got no right to burn that incense.
Out o’ your mind?  Got no sense?
Get out.  You got no honor before God!”
But Uzziah, proud as a peach, was mad
And leprosy broke out all over his head; (20)
Stayed that way ’til the day he was dead (21)
