David Gets His Wives Back

From 1 Sam 30 (the longer version)
(Maybe to be read with rap rhythm?)

David had two wives,
Ahinoam and Abigail.
The latter was the widow of Nabal
But he had another reason to be stressed
He came back to his city
And it wasn’t very pretty
Those Amalekites had burned it to the ground
So he said to the priest, the son of Amilech,
“You got to bring me my ephod!”
Time for David to consult his God.
“Shall I chase this band and beat em all?
What say you?  Will I take a fall?”
And the Lord said, “Go right ahead! (8)
Tellin’ you, you gonna save everyone!”
So he blazed out with six hundred
And left two back; they were exhausted.
So he crossed the brook of Besor
With all he had left,  just four.
Found an Egyptian in the field (11)
Gave him food so see what he might yield.  (12)
David said, “To whom do you belong?
Need some intel so we can get along!” (13)
Said, “We made some raids and burned Ziklag (14)
David replied to the man wild-eyed,
“You gonna show me where they did hide!”
“I’ll tell you!” said the man full of fear,
“Don’t make me say it, let me whisper in your ear.”
David said, “Yeah, we can do.
Can you bring me to this crew?” (15)
Said, “If you swear you will not kill me
I will show them all to thee!”
Well, he brought them all down
And they were dancing all around
Reveling in all their possessions, (16)
Yet spoils became their obsessions.
David slaughtered them from twilight
‘Til the next day and into the night,
And apart from taking these lives
He recovered all including two wives.(18)
