A Price for Disobedience

The Lord sent Moses to Mt. Nebo
To check out the land of Canaan.
‘Twas all in the Lord’s big plan,
There to die and ascend to his people.
Moses had smacked that rock
When all he had to do was talk.
Yeah, it was in the wilderness of Zin
Where Moses committed that sin.
So there is a moral here to learn:
Got to obey God to avoid the burn
It’s coming soon enough,
Hot even for the tough.
Don’t go off and hide.
Just get on the divine side
Before you life is through
And there’s nothing more to do.
