Author of A Time To Kill

From Renoir to Playboy

Like the curves of a naked body
From Renoir to Playboy
The lines of life intrigue us
And catch us off our guard.
The beauty and the power
Of strokes from brush and ink
Drive us to lift our minds above
And give the Lord a think,
Who made those pretty creatures
From whom the race proceeds.
And yet we find ourselves unready
To meet the One who made us.
We are downright unsteady
To listen to His Word,
The guidance and correction
Exhortation and direction.
Oh, that we would find the time
To sit with Him a while and dine
Upon His word and fellowship.
A rough ride, but a glorious trip
To be with Him in that place above
Where all is right – eternal love.
