Thanks for the medal!

(Yeah, I give it a stare
Sitting in my living room chair.
Thoughts drifting to the past,
Those days on the grapplers’ mat.)
You know it’s the sport coming down
Way before basketball was around.
It’s the sport of Jesus and all
Those prophets who had the gall
To stand for the right and against the wrong
Persevering steady and strong.
