Author of A Time To Kill

Those Nameless Holy Servants

(Tribute to Tom Condit)

The restitution that I was to pay
Was gone in a day!
My case was reversed
And into joy I burst.
It was 46 months and 10 days,
But the sentence was not through
And to pay baby-killers, I could not do.
Oh, but at the re-sentencing it was gone!
Who did it?  (Not some pawn.)
Somebody was behind the good deed;
He put justice above glory and greed.
Cleaned my bill of any restitution.
Oh, what a blessed solution!
Paid a price in time,
But gave the killers not a dime!
Don’t know who the servant was,
But thoughts of him give me pause.
There are those whose deeds are unseen,
Whose devotion to Him is keen.
Tom Condit was my lawyer of grace
Who did the work in my case.
