A Meditation on Pacifism

Robert Lawrence Smith in his “A Quaker Book of Wisdom” notes that he fought in WW II but thinks, nevertheless, that pacifism is a good thing.

Uh . . . What part?

The idea of sitting by and letting Nazis murder Jews did not, thankfully, sit well with him.

Hmm.  Any other such atrocities worth fighting over?  How about the current abortion holocaust?  Those innocents in the womb are less guilty than ex-utero, sinful Jews (or Gentiles, of course)!  How about defending those little ones?

Wake up, Quakers!  Do justice with or without arms.  Do what is necessary to secure justice and defend the innocent.

Pacifism is good!  Unless a war comes around.   Avoid war when you can.   Fight when necessary.

Lead on, brothers. Bring an end to the holocaust. Outlaw child-murder in every state.
