And the Lord Made . . .

Got to just do that labor!
Work hard for somebody
Or start your own business
And hire your own mistress.
The very Creator was not a sleeper,
Nor a lazy, lounging vacationer.
He was about making things,
Working and creating the universe.
So don’t be sitting on your buttocks
Waiting for something to come your way,
Staying up late and sleeping half the day!
From the beginning it was work He did
And you can do it without deferring to your Id.
The Law is your guide, not Freud.
You want to live and not be destroyed,
So do what pleases the holy Maker,
The very One who became your Savior.
