A Stone, a Rock, and a Trap
(Isaiah 8:14)
He’s an SRT don’t ya see?
Many will fall, land and sea.
He doesn’t just meet expectation:
(Lots of folks lookin’ for sensation).
He’s a Stone that will crush your plans:
The Rock you don’t want in the sand.
He’s a Trap that will surely get you!
Doesn’t matter what you try to do;
No way for you to get through.
He’ll catch you in that snare
And what follows is worse than a scare.
You’ll burn real hot and forever,
A pain you’ll be equipped to endure
With a nasty, eternal kind of body!
Said the Lord, for you rebels, is STONE!
You’ll get more than a broken bone!
Gonna have that pain quite eternal;
Yeah, lots o’ heat; downright infernal.
So don’t screw around and expect to get by
Thinkin’ to put it off and just get “high.”
Got to turn around and just bow down!
That’s where real peace can be found.
