CACN, Fall 1997 A Very Good Year

The following is a reprint of the “Rad Fringe Reports” section of the Fall 1997 issue of Capitol Area Christian News. Be refreshed by the flurry of positive activity of that year. We were privileged to have shared the good news with subscribers of that time. CACN was shut down in the fall of 2000 when Judge Jones of the 9th Circuit ordered that Planned Parenthood could seize the CACN mailing list as part of their effort to collect on the $ 1.4 billion judgment (eventually reduced to $8 million of which Bray finally was only required to pay a $1 million portion) against anti-abortion activists in the PP v. ACLA suit. As a defendant, Michael Bray was directed to give up the list in the name of “collections” since subscribers would pay money (something PP was granted a right to collect). Rather than give up the list of people – which PP wanted only, we confidently assume, for the purpose of obtaining names to turn over to the (Janet Waco Reno) FBI or their own private snoops, we terminated the publishing of Capitol Area Christian News.

Rad Fringe Reports
Lexicographical entry

Mr. Felisone has proposed a new term which we will admit into our rad fringe vocabulary. The definition: “a baby killer with his head blown off” shall be indicated by the term “short bort.” This represents an etymological elision in which the previously contracted “’bort” (deriving from “abortionist” and first appearing, to our knowledge, in literary form in the writings of Monica Miller) has been further shorn to the simple “bort.”

Of course this is a slang term which ought not to be employed in dialogue with the oligarchs n Fed City. The more appropriate term to use on the Hill (recommended by your editor’s very wife, Jayne Bray) is “partial abortionist.”

Militia missive

According to John McCaslin (“Inside the Beltway” in the Washington Times, 24 June, 1997), “every senator and House member has received a letter of warning from a self-styled militia group called the “Constitution Rangers,” describing the organization’s intent to bring to justice U.S. government officials who’ve ‘exceeded their lawful authority.’” The letter was signed by Jack Dean Yoos of the “Idaho Republic” and Carl Eugene Jones of the “California Republic.”

Rep. Peter King of New York said that these folks were a “serious threat” and “there is no place in our society for gangs of armed wackos who threaten the government and scare the hell out of everybody.”

But of course there is plenty of room for sodomites, baby killers, and NOWists. And Janet Waco Reno, arsonist and killer of innocents, is no threat.

Mr. King then received another warning from the North American Militia, an umbrella organization of militia groups based in Battle Creek, Michigan (P.O. Box 2490; zip 49016-2490). The letter advises Congress: We, the people, have the right to defend our constitution and limit our government, or abolish it and institute new government. We have begun the process!”

Let us hope so.

Those meddling G-men

Federal agents checking out the bombing of the abortuary and the sodomite bar in Atlanta allegedly found some unidentified finger prints on a letter which purported to be from the Army of God. “Four separately written copies of the letter were mailed to news organizations within hours” of the bombing of the sod bar on Feb. 21.

“The letter threatened ‘total war’ against the federal government and contained a special code to be used for establishing the group’s identity in future bombings” (Washington Times, 24 June).

Well, the feds were sure turning over all the rocks. D.C., infested with federal workers as it is, sent agents just outside the beltway to visit Jack Humphries and others. Nothing there. When they crept by my place at night and saw the Honda with the Georgia license plates, they must have almost wet their pants. They flew to Atlanta to see Neal Horsley, the fellow who maintains CACN on the internet (www.christiangaller.com/bray.html). Neal reported as follows to a certain soldier concerning the visit on 13 May:

I received two unannounced visitors simultaneously at my home today: one from the ATF and the other from the FBI. We chatted for about two hours about the Creator’s Rights Party, the website containing the Nuremberg files, and the Atlanta bombings. They’ve asked me to come down and take a lie detector test . . .
The ATF guy asked be if I knew Mike Bray. I was also queried about the Army of God… I told them I knew nothing about the bombings or the Army of God but did have an interest in raising an army to move a State or States out of this union if they didn’t get this desecration of God’s authority cleared up.”

Well, with that little visit with Neal, they must have been licking their chops. Hot on the trail, surely they could find a whole mother lode of information on those anti-government zealots! They scurried over to Illinois to see Don Benny Anderson, in jail since 1982 for kidnapping Abortionist Hector Zevallos and his wife, Rosalie Jean. Don was trying to relax in his cell, mind his own business and ignore all the noise, when he was disturbed by a visit from a couple FBI folks. No. He hadn’t written the letter. Don sent them on their way and rolled back over to take a nap..

Then on they went to Oregon and interrupted Curt Beseda’s praying and fasting with the same kind of querying.

Then, maybe tired of visiting jails, they went to Tennessee to visit Ed and Debbie Drapkin and asked the same dumb question. No, they didn’t want to know whether or not the Drapkins knew if Gen. Anderson or Col. Beseda had written the letter, but whether maybe Cpls. Drapkins themselves had written it or if they might reveal who it was up the chain of command. (The nerve of these guys!) . . .

Did Paul Hill save any babies?

Cheryl Battles of Severn, Maryland is the famed single woman who prevailed in court last year when Ann Arundel County prosecuted her for refusing to register her home-schooled daughter with the State Board of Education. (Why should she submit her daughter to Godless indoctrinators from whom she has fled and whose oversight regarding the education of her then-five year-old daughter she rejects?).

Miss Battles sought to take out ads in the Pensacola Journal and the Mobil Press-Register which read as follows: URGENT: If Paul Hill saved your child’s life, please call 800-334-9082. Confidential.

She was refused ads by those papers. However, the more democratic Thrifty Nickel has received the ad and will carry it for three weeks in Mobile, Fort Walton, and Pensacola. (Send her a few bucks to defray costs.)

NAF Membership News

The D.C. based National Abortion Federation sent out a “Member Alert” on 24 July following the burning of the West Alabama Women’s Center in Tuscaloosa. The alert noted that the medical complex “has separate wings for abortion services and gynecology. Only the abortion wing sustained damage.” The alert reported damages estimated between $150,000 and $200,000 and that “no suspects have yet been identified.”

(We are pleased to report this good news regarding the lack of suspects after having to report so much bad news on the capture of several rescuers this year.)

The Killer alert continues: “This incident brings the total number of arsons so far in 1997 to eight, almost three times last year’s total of three.”

St. Albans, Vermont

“Almost as good as the real thing,” opines Don Spitz. The local Planned Barrenhood office received a package on 11 March. When the state police checked it out, they were unable to determine if it was a bomb. So they blew it up and discovered that it was a “wad of cotton wrapped in electrical tape” (AP).

The history of forceful attempts to disrupt the business of Planned Barrenhood at this site is scant. Helen Virginia Ames was arrested after throwing a Molotov cocktail on the lawn in August, 1994.

Lovejoy, up in smoke!

The Portland, Oregon abortuary was offered up as a sweet savor to the Lord by an unknown soldier (or soldiers) on 23 May. The abortuary had received four threats from a male caller during the previous week. Similar threats had been made by phone the previous ten days to the All Women’s Health Services in both Eugene and Portland along with A Woman’s Choice abortuary in Yakima, Washington (McMinnville’s News-Register, 24 May).

At least one caller to the Yakima abortuary said, “the underground militia will be glad to kill you,” according to assistant abortuary director Diane Hale. “It was very frightening,” Ms Hale said. “His manner and tone escalated. He seemed very out of control.” Employees reported other threats, such as “I’ll cut you to pieces” (The Oregonian, 24 May). Another employee “described a particularly eerie phone call that sounded like the click of shells sliding into a gun.”

“The calls terrified clinic workers and prompted two evacuations at the Yakima clinic.”

(Ahh. Isn’t this great, Fringies? I love it. I’ll bet he was huffing and puffing too, but they won’t admit it in the news. I’m panting at the thought of it! Oh! This is ecstasy! I can’t stand it.)

There were “about 70 firefighters [who] fought the blaze.” Oh what a sight to behold! Have any of you Oregonian Fringies a video of this? What a Visitation!

Lady Eleanor Smeal squealed about conspiracies and demanded that such acts be classified as “domestic terrorism” to allow Reno’s hounds to legally strangle abortion opposition through greater freedom to intrude into and monitor the lives of abortion opponents.

The local “right to lifers” disgorged their usual words of vile condemnation of the righteous. Gayle Atteberry, Oregon RTL director called the disarming of the tools of childslaughter a “deplorable act of violence against personal property.” Bryan Kemper of Rock for Life said, “We oppose violence . . . We had nothing to do with the arson, and we’re against it” (1 June, The Oregonian Staff).

The Lovejoy abortuary employed 32 people and was the state’s largest generator of dead children. The abortuary gained national prominence when it successfully sued Andrew Burnett’s Advocates for Life Ministries and won a $8.1 million judgment.

The beloved Shelley Shannon visited the abortuary with destruction in 1992. She was credited with five other similar deeds throughout the west for which she was rewarded with a 20-year sentence to the shame and guilt of the U.S. government and the American people.

“Little strokes”

They “fell mighty oaks,” said Ben Franklin. And so we cannot despise the good news that the Yakima, Washington abortuary was “scarred by a small, external fire” on 6 May (McMinnville News-Register, 24 May).

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

The local abortuary was burned out of $100.000 on 22 July. It happened on this wise, according to the local police and fire guys. “Someone cut a hole in an air conditioning duct on the roof.” And then, “someone threw a fire bomb in there!” exclaimed Abortionist Louis Paine. “We are not breaking any laws, we are not doing anything illegal. We are just doing our business” (Birmingham Post-Herald, 23 July).

(Likewise, a defender of the innocent was just doing his business at no charge. Doesn’t anyone appreciate volunteerism any more?)

In response, the local police and fire departments have colluded with Janet Waco Reno’s task force (VAAPCON, a.k.a. CRAAPCON by insiders who recognized the political witchiness of the whole investigation) to capture the hero(es). The task force was declared to be disbanded in January of 1996 “when the Justice Department determined there was not a nationwide conspiracy.” However, the forceful defense of womb children is still radically opposed by Reno’s Justice Department, and she continues to call on the Treasury Department’s ATF to help with any investigations. “As a result of our involvement” says Brian Letts, a spokesman for the ATF in Birmingham, “we still respond in timely fashion to these type cases.” Letts also informs that ATF has offered the locals the use of “our laboratories and our expertise in fire investigations.”

Abortionist Paine is no regular abortionist. He is the son-in-law of “prolife” South Carolina Governor David Beasley. We don’t know whether Gov. Beasley believes in defending innocent children. We do know that his son-in-law has been slaughtering womb children since 1969. Up until 22 July he had suffered threats over the phone but no direct action. At long last, the prayers of God’s people were answered.

Greensboro, North Carolina

On the sixth day of the merry month of May, “an arson fire . . . closed Greensboro’s last remaining abortion clinic” (News & Record, 7 May). It was the second effort in six years to destroy the Piedmont-Carolina abortuary by fire. The last performance was conducted by Robert Hugh Farley Jr. who pleaded “guilty” and did fed time.

The abortuary’s legal name was Options, and the destroyer certainly exercised a good one. It was one of those loan duck abortuaries, unattached to other buildings, “a one-story brick building tucked behind a strip of fast-food restaurants” waiting for someone to opt to abort it. Arson investigator Sam Jones with the Greenville Police Department, “said someone pried open an air-conditioning vent on the roof, poured a flammable liquid inside” the childslaughter house “and then ignited it.”

Thanks be to God, “police had made no arrests as of Tuesday evening” or even by early October as we go to press.

Abortuary owner Jean Goldston, “standing outside the [abortuary] Tuesday afternoon next to a pile of blackened debris, declined to talk about the fire.” She does not discriminate on the basis of gender, but will slaughter male or female children upon request when presented with cold cash. She is not known to slaughter them, however, once they fully exit the womb. Ms Goldston hopes to open her abortuary again. And she seems to be quite able to do so, having become well enriched by abortuary blood money over the years. She has owned the one which is no more since 1977. She also owns Arcadia Women’s Medical abortuary in Winston-Salem.

It is particularly attractive to re-open the Greensboro abortuary since there are no others. The only competition Ms. Goldston had was called Options on North Elm Street. It had closed the week before Piedmont-Carolina was burned. “Options” answering service said that the building’s landlord refused to renew the clinic’s lease.”

Jennifer Sperle

The gentle mother of four was forced to leave nursing newborn last spring to serve the United States of America with a 30-month sentence for doing $500 to a Virginia abortuary. She remains abused but faithful in her Texas prison, 360 miles from home.

Jennifer phoned on the Lord’s Day (21 September) and reported on a recent visit by her husband and the children. Sitting in the visiting room where the feds allow prisoners to sit beside their spouses and hold their children, Jennifer changed the baby’s diaper. Well, this violated some regulation, and she was promptly threatened with immediate termination of her visit.

She is a young mother who has suffered for her decision ten years ago to terminate her firstborn. She has warned others outside the death camps and received the ridicule of abortion rights zealots. And she has been pursued, prosecuted and jailed by the government which endowed her with the right to kill her own. When she phoned and cried to friends over the pain of separation from her family, the feds were listening, as they lawfully do with the calls of all prisoners.

The ATF, ever offering service to Janet Waco Reno, visited her. The agents wanted to know if she had anything now to tell them about other helpers in that feeble attack on that Virginia abortuary.

No. She chose to keep her cleansed soul just so. “Goodbye boys. You serve the Tank Lady. I’ll serve the King of kings.”

Marjorie Reed “free” at last

She was released at long last on 12 September after doing about eight years. John Broderick, Bishop George Lynch, and John Gross picked her up at 9:30 and took her to breakfast at Big Johns in Danbury, Connecticut. Marjorie was able to visit the aging Bishop Vaughn and others who had encouraged and prayed for her during her long internment. En route to Oregon, Ohio, she visited her father in Akron who has “slowed down some.”

It wasn’t until this point that Marjorie’s son, Jamie, and her husband, Bob, were able meet her. (Marjorie’s mother-in-law receives extended care in Bob’s home.)

Soon after arriving home, it was necessary to report to a probation officer from whom she was informed of the Parole Commission’s intentions to impose the same draconian restrictions which it muzzled John Brockhoeft with.

Marjorie formally filed her objections to the conditions which, among other things, would forbid her contact or communication with the very people who have prayed for her and written her during her imprisonment. The Parole Commission is supposed to reply to her objections 21 days from the 25 September date of her filing them.

Marjorie is hoping for some assistance from First Amendment organizations like ACLJ or Rutherford. (These organizations have developed a tradition of treating forceful anti-abortion defendants and prisoners like untouchables. We hope for repentance.)

(Of course, the borts of the ACLU don’t wish to defend the Bill of Rights when it comes to defending the rights of anti-abortionists. But we may have more hope in these pagans than the Brahmin-like Evangelical jurists who will defend to the dollar the right of students to pray at the flag pole. The donation base for such enterprises is, perhaps, greater than it is for those who go to jail for effectively obeying the command to love and defend a helpless neighbor.)

Already on the local news, borts have attempted to whip up justification for restricting Marjorie. Mention was made of an alleged threatening letter from Marjorie to local abortuary director, Carol Dunn. This murderess is well-connected with the local politicos, which may explain both the Brockhoeft and the impending Reed restrictions. Both defendants were prosecuted out of Ohio.

Free citizens can write Marjorie or her family at 3543 Worden Rd., Oregon, OH 43616-3411. Send her your regards for a job well done.

Affirmative Action for JHers

It occurs to us that inasmuch as those who defend the use of lethal force to stop abortion as justifiable homicide are in a distinct minority (3% of the population at last count according to a CNN poll; we can cite indicators of an increase since that August, 1994 poll), there ought to be some consideration by EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) to assure that JHers are getting jobs. We advocate for justice, i.e. that 1) those bigots who refuse to higher JHers be punished for their prejudicial hiring practices, and 2) that American companies be required to treat JH persons under the affirmative action doctrine and thereby give preferential employment opportunities to this new minority.

The more palatable way to view JHers is as those who involved in the “peace process.” Once peace for the preborn is finally secured, there won’t be need for the maiming or termination of the perpetrators of violence against these innocents. These latter will have been properly tried and convicted for their crimes against humanity and genocide.

Felisone’s Penses

In his 20 June, 1996 issue, he muses thusly: “How can Paul Hill be convicted of murdering two human beings, when the U.S. Supreme Court advises that we do not know when human life begins?”

Yes, that Roe doctrine is a Pandora’s box. We experienced similar vagarious meditations while under deposition by Planned Barrenhood, recently (proceeding from the $1.4. billion fed suit filed against us for writing things like what you are reading). Ought answers to questions concerning the choice to abort abortionists or abortuaries be refused on the basis of the Constitutional “Right to Privacy” a la Roe?

Little Rock

While he who is and will be known as “The Abortion President” along with his under-investigated socialized-medicine-oriented-I-can’t-recall spouse were back home, a
“bomb” was found in an abortuary (TV reports on 25 September).

It turned out to be a phony. But we say someone in that otherwise discredited town has the right attitude (Ferreted out of Felisone’s Oct. 1, 1997, Vol., 97, #43).

Inspiration from Down Under

There is evidence of revival in Australia. In The Age Melbourne (13 Oct), Jane Faulkner reports on that so-called piece of art known as the “Piss Christ.” The National Gallery of Victoria “canceled its controversial exhibition by Andres Serrano after two youths destroyed” the blasphemous trash “with a hammer.” Degenerate gallery director, Dr. Timothy Potts (not necessarily related to the FBI goon who directed the Ruby Ridge murders) exclaimed, “There have been two incidents in the Serrano exhibition on the weekend involving damage to a work of art and injury to two members of security staff . . . The trustees and director have with great reluctance taken the decision to close the exhibition immediately.”

The “Piss Christ,” you recall, is a photograph of a crucifix immersed in the urine of the perdition-bound Serrano. (The destiny of the artist is generally not speculated upon by the regular press corp. These special insights are brought to you by the astute editors of CACN. That is why you pay your $10 per year. You need incisive, hard-hitting news and review of it.)

In “attack” #1, 51-year-old John Allen Haywood of Sydney “simply walked up to the photograph and attempted to remove it because he regarded it as it was: an abomination. Mr. Haywood was charged later that day with one count each of criminal damage and burglary. “The photograph was slightly damaged but was rehung” in time for viewing the next day.

The next day was the Lord’s Day, and two young men – one sixteen and other eighteen -determined to honor Him. Attack #2 “took only a few seconds. One youth distracted security guards by kicking another exhibit, and the second smashed the perspex covering of [the abomination] with the hammer about eight times, ruining the photograph, valued at $25,000.”
Roman Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne, George Pell, noted: “I understand the sense of outrage . . . and I repeat my support of peaceful and legal protest only.”

If any of you folks are down under in December, you can visit the 16-year-old as he appears in the Children’s Court on 8 December and congratulate him. The other young iconoclast will have already appeared in court on 24 October. Let us not just “understand the sense of outrage.” Let us commend these young men of God. These actions foster hope for the next generation.

Eau Claire, Wisconsin

“A one-man crime wave who placed hundreds of bomb threats, slashed tires and committed other acts of vandalism was sentenced [14 Oct.] to up to 60 years in a mental institution and 40 years in prison” (AP, 15 Oct.). The court found 23-year-old James F. Nerdrum “innocent by reason of mental disease” of two armed robbery charges. But he pleaded guilty to another armed robbery charge in July.

The judge violated the plea agreement which “called for a 90-year mental commitment and a 20-year prison sentence.” Tyrant-like, he “imposed his own sentence to give [Nerdrum] more jail time.”

Hmm. Why so hard on an allegedly mentally deranged fellow? Is this some cold-hearted conservative judge?

Let’s see here . . . Whose tires and what was vandalized? Maybe this will give us a clue without knowing the political persuasion of the robed rogue.

Ah, yes. Those “350 bomb threats that plagued the Eau Claire area between September 1995 and last February” and the $182,000 in property damage exacted by Mr. Nerdrum “commonly followed anti-abortion and anti-pornography themes.” He visited a Planned Barrenhood facility with destruction and robbed two pornographic video stores along with a gas station.

The gas station robbery causes us some concern here. And have no report on Mr. Nerdrum’s stewardship of the plunder he acquired from the porno shop. Did he use the spoils well? Did he buy munitions in order to do more good deeds? Did he give some of this income to the poor? Or did he fall into profligate spending and selfishly purchase cocaine from President Clinton’s friends? We just don’t know enough to provide you with guidance by which to evaluate Mr. Nerdrum. There are many questions which need answers before we render a judgment on Mr. Nerdrum’s deeds. We must remain open-minded and tolerant until then.

But we admit to having other prejudices at this point. We suspect the judge to be a regular liberal abortophile.

White Rose Banquet

The third annual will be held in D.C. on the eve of the annual March for Life. We look forward to sharing an evening together in thanksgiving for those who suffer as martyrs for justice.

We will hear reports from prisoners and sing praises to God for kindly supplying them in our time. We shall enjoy good fellowship around a good meal.

Don Spitz will be gathering letters from prisoners as well as relics from these holy folks. We shall auction these items and send the money to poor prisoner families. (Yes, relics. Have you anything like a piece of art work or a cartoon drawn by one of these venerated brethren? Any snap shots? Other iconic goodies? Contact Mr. Spitz by fax at 757—421-3732 or phone 757-421-2543 or email.

The wealth acquired from the auction shall be dispersed to needy prisoner families. Above such needs, there may be expenses for prisoners who are taking courses. We shall offer scholarships money to any anti-abortion prisoner taking courses in advanced chemistry, for example.

The White Rose Banquet is sponsored by Reformation Lutheran Church, Box 544, Bowie, MD 20715. Send checks for $35.00 to White Rose Banquet. We shall send you tickets and directions to the hotel. Call Cheryl evenings by fax or phone (evenings) at 410-757-5242 or email her at . Register soon. Space is limited. No tickets after 31 December.

Curt Beseda

Loosed again after reinternment. He was paroled on a 20-year sentence on 3 October, 1996. Then, for refusing to take psychiatric drugs, he was reinterned on 24 March. On 23 October he was released from the windowless Pierce County Jail in Tacoma, Washington. While in prison, Mr. Beseda was threatened with transfer to the federal medical facility for prisoners in Springfield, Missouri where he would have been strapped down and injected with drugs.

Mr. Beseda has a lifelong record of no violent behavior (with the exception of the two incidents for which he was imprisoned). Even in prison where violence and survival co-exist Mr. Beseda managed to avoid it for over a dozen years. His probation officer is Douglas LeRoy who can be reached in Seattle at 206-553-7435 (Fax -0624). As of this writing, it appears that there will be no requirement for the drugs. Write Curt at 7503 77th Dr. S.E., Snohomish, WA 98290. (For more information on Curt’s situation, see my article in the November issue of Life Advocate magazine. Also, send them lots of your money: AFLM, Box 13656, Portland, OR 97213.)
