“Exegetes logou theou”*
Is the one you want to come to
When you need guidance to get you
Through the trouble on your plate
And you know it’s never too late
To get that counsel that is true
Showing you the right thing to do.
Give a listen to those who know the Word,
Not those who are tickling the herd
With their fancy eisogetical preaching;
Nobody but the fool it’s reaching.
The expounder of the Word of God you need
To lead you away from the path of greed;
To those corrupt evildoers take no heed.
Now to Isaiah you must give a listen,
Give a rest to that huggin’ and kissin’;
He’s got a word for you to hear and do
A priority to place even above your shoe.
