Song of Solomon 3:6f. (Poetized)

Like “columns of smoke perfumed with myrrh”
Came Solomon down the road
With all the scented powders of a merchant,
A traveling coach of sixty men around. (7)
O what a mighty fine sight it was:
All eyes upon him!  What’s the buzz?”
The men were all “”wielders of the sword”; (8)
Guarded against terrors!  Experts in war.;
Each had a sword by his side
To guard against terrors of the night.
The king made himself a chair – a nice sedan
From that fine lumber of Lebanon.
O what a chair it was to behold:
The legs of silver and the back of gold! (10)
What a sight the king was to see
And happy were the people under his authority!
It was the day of his wedding they were celebrating.
Had no time to mess with dating;
Picked out a fine daughter of Jerusalem (5)
And made a throne from the timbers of Lebanon. (9)
“Go forth, O daughters of Zion!
And take a look at this king with his crown! (11)
Rejoice and wipe away every frown.
