2 Chron 26:23-28:8

Didn’t bring him into that holy place
But into the field; he was a leper,
And Jonathan, his son, took his place.
Had a mom, Jerushah, daughter of  Zadok;
Only sixteen years old and he did right
In the sight of the Lord as his daddy had done, (2)
While the people kept on in corruption.
Built the upper gate of the house of the Lord
And a big wall they called Ophel; (3)
Cities in the country with fortress and tower; (4)
Fought the Ammonites with lots of power, (5)
All because he did right by the Lord. (6)
Just twenty-five when he became king. (27:8)
Did right by the Lord in everything;
Was buried in the city of David.
Ahaz took his place and was quite the craven;
Burned incense in the valley and his sons in fire; (28:3)
Sacrificed to idols under every green tree (4)
A real POS causin’ all kinds o’ stress!
So the Lord delivered his ass to the king of Aram;
Defeated him and carried him away, (5)
Two-hundred thousand women, children, and spoils. (8)
Now the judge of Judah was Israel,
But they over did the job “quite miserable.” (9)
