“Enthusiasm”!
It is a great word for us to ponder and to advocate in our present world of Christ-suppression and the consequent floundering in the darkness of Lawlessness. It means, simply, “God inside” of another. A simple, old, Greek word.
“Get some the enthusiasm!” we might hear a coach yell as he rallies his team to press on to victory.
Indeed, we need Him for every breath we take. And we ought not forget that it is by His power that we came into existence and continue to breathe each moment.
So where would we be with Him to sustain our lives? He supplies the air to breathe, the rain and the dirt for the growing of crops, the feeding of animals, and the daily supply for drinking. And when he indwells us by His Spirit, we can live forever.
Thanks be for the work of the Son in dying for us and to the Spirit for indwelling, leading and guiding us.
May the Father continue to sustain us until that Day when He comes again and brings judgment upon the world. But until then, may we live enthusiastically for His service as we anticipate His coming.
