Examination

When it is determined that day
That an abortionist is terminated,
Examination must be made
Into what caused such a jaded
Population to allow a fellow
To fall so far from the path
Of life into the strife
In which he makes a choice
To cut off the voice,
The very life of the dear
Little one who came so near
The light outside the womb,
Sent instead to a tomb.
Forgotten down that drain,
Yet there is that pain
In the hearts of those who know
That they did not overthrow
The truth of their deeds
Seeking only their own needs.
