Author of A Time To Kill

He Came in a Fury

I’ve seen decorations ugly
Overdone with ornaments ’tis true.
Might as well go the whole route
And wave the red, white, and blue.
How we got to remember
Come that time in December
When quiet must mix with joy
He came, God from on high
To counter that lie
In the garden long ago
That brought everyone down
To be put in the ground
And raised to face the Judge
Who from His Law could not budge.
Yeah, He came in a fury
The world’s sins to bury
Forever from us removed
Obedience to Him behooved.
