The Horror of Water Boarding
15 October, 2006
Dear Editor,
Whom would Rev. Feldmeyer torture (Journal, 13 October, 2006)? Let us define what we mean by “torture.” Less amorphous is this definition of torture: “the ripping of appendages from a body, the slicing of a live un-anesthetized body into parts, and the crushing of the skull.” That simple definition describes, of course, what we all know as an occurrence we tolerate daily in abortion “clinics” across the land.
Mr. Feldmeyer, and his United Methodist denomination, approve of such torture in the name of “women’s rights” and “freedom of choice.” He declares, in his complaint about our government’s “torture” of terrorists: “There is such a thing as right and wrong and torture falls at the top of the list in the ‘wrong’ column.”
When Mr. Feldmeyer can remove the log from his own eye and condemn the 4,000 daily tortures of American children, I’ll listen to his views on “torturing” terrorists.
