Praise and Thanks to the Trinity

For an eternity, the Almighty lived:
Robed, the three, in their own glory,
In need of no company for joy.
It was not lonely, no boredom;
But God made some stars and planets
And threw in some angels for His pleasure.
The Trinity had plenty of company
And the entertainment was not lacking
Except for a creature with an image
Of His very own likeness.
So, he made man and woman for fun
Who soon, by sin, went on the run.
Having none of that He chased them down
And gave them His law by Moses;
Said, “Keep this and you’ll be okay!”
But man, being stupid, said, “No way!”
Yet God, unwilling to give man up
Decided his destiny to hell to disrupt.
He paid the bill owed with a cross on a hill
Where He put His own eternal Son,
The God-man who bore the world’s sin.
And it is by no other means but Him,
The death of the divine Savior,
Not the glory (rather shame) of human behavior,
That brings a human to life again.
Nothing to do by submit and repent.
Believe on the Lord/God, Jesus, Messiah;
By no other means can you get by.
Judgment will find everyone naked
With no place to hide the shame
Of sin and holy condemnation.
To Him only may you run:
To the Three-in-one.
