Parents of Twelve We Are
Parents, indeed, of twelve we are;
Anastasia will not be forgotten.
Four months she was in the womb;
We could have used another good girl!
But our Lord does according to His will
(Sometimes it is other than a thrill.);
He gives, indeed, and He takes away.
And what against Him would we say?
What does He owe us but our deaths?
We are rebels who have earned His disgust,
But by His grace, in His mercy we can trust.
