Isaiah 5:7-14<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bring here the mischief maker;
Sit him right down for a spell.
Get him to change his ways,
Lest he wind up in hell!
The Lord looks for justice
But, lo, He beheld bloodshed! (7)
O my, some folks gonna wind up dead!
Woe to those who add house to house (8)
Field to field to live alone!
Not gonna find any meat on that bone!
And woe to those who stay up late for that drink (11)
Drenching their brains, can’t even think!
Got that lure, harp, and that tambourine,
Playin’ that flute and drinkin’ that wine. (12)
Lord knows they ignore the work of His hands;
To exile they go to see other lands! (13)
With hunger and thirst off they go
And of their number the grave can’t get enough (14)
O for the wicked ’twill be awfully rough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
