Democratic presidential candidate Kristen Gillibrand appeared at the Georgia state house on16 May, 2019.\u00a0 She said:\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cIf you are a person of the Christian faith, one of the tenants of our faith is free will. \u00a0One of the tenants of our democracy is that we have a separation of church and state, and under no circumstances are we supposed to be imposing our faith on other people. And I think this is an example of that effort.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well, well, well! \nThat celebrated book from which this poseur would quote says a few other\nthings as well. But to be clear, there\n“free will” is not a tenant of the faith. “Free will was lost in the fall. Man’s will is corrupted by his fallen,\nselfish, disgusting nature. He worships\nand serves his own interests (See Romans, chapters 1-3 for a summary of man’s\npsychological and legal status from the Divine perspective.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Should this presumptuous explicator of the doctrines of\nChristian faith wish to explore the precepts laid down in that book, known as\nthe “Scriptures” or the “Bible,” she will readily discover\nthat nothing of “separation of church and state.” But it does speak of the Law of God as that\nwhich He has decreed to be both good and binding upon all mankind. It is by His Law that all people and all\nnations will be judged. That Law, then,\nis a good standard by which to rule nations and by which to evaluate various\n“political views.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This princess of buffoonery argues that “free\nwill” – the will, apparently of any craven miscreant or Lawbreaker – is\nsomehow sacrosanct and free from the judgment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Free will” is just, uh, holy and judgment-free! Got to be protected! Downright inviolable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now what is obviously wrong with such a posture? Such a philosophy, even? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is Lawless! It\nacknowledges no foundation for ethics but the mind and whims of each solitary\nperson! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asininity on display, here! \nCome on! You mean we go with\n“everyone does what is right in his own mind”? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyone’s morality and legal system is okay? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Come, fool! Let us\nreason together. God gave us the Big Ten\n– wonderful foundation for ethics and a means of discriminating between Good\nand Evil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
