There is a legitimate fear that ought to beset every human being. Death will come, an end to one’s
existence – as it is known. And then what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Will there be just a cessation of existence? Or terror? Torment? Judgment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That anxiety – the uncertainty – is relieved by NOTHING but the firm promise of salvation through the atoning work of Jesus. There is no other<\/em> firm hope presented to humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But for those who have no such hope, whether due to ignorance or rejection of the message of salvation through the Savior, Halloween is a distractive relief – a distraction. One can make light of the legitimate fear that comes from death as a consequence of the sin – of which all are well aware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wear a mask and playfully deal with the reality of death and horror which comes from the suspicion the there is a real Judgment to come! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Otherwise, for those who have peace with God (or are blissfully ignorant of their grave condition),\u00a0 Halloween is a fun time for costumes, surprises, neighborhood visits, and the distribution (and acquisition) of goodies!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Onward!
