Death has lost its sting
Thanks to the resurrected King.
As He rose from the tomb, so shall we
Forever from death be set free.
We will rise again and see Joe Bray
Clothed spiffily in eternal array.
The captain will be there with ensigns and admirals;
Our Anastasia will be adorned in more than pearls;
Hugh and Matthew and many others in glory
Where in eternity they finish their story:
Folk from every branch and some civilians.
By His mercy, there will be millions!
We thank the Lord for the dad we had
Who kept us all from being too bad.
He taught us to pray and live the right way
Praying daily to the Father, “Who art in heaven”;
We were as jolly family of seven.
“Things are lookin’ up!” was his motto;
Now he’s fully in the know.
We, left here, have seeds to sow;
His example is in our minds!\u00a0 Don’t cry.
You know how to live without asking why;
You’ll die and join him there some day,
Making merry with him in an endless way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
