I’m talkin’ about ma man Kevin Hart, the comedian, who was forced to step down from the glorious assignment he was granted:\u00a0 Hosting the Oscar Awards!<\/p>\n

Oh man!\u00a0 What a tragedy!\u00a0 The man lost the opportunity to really hang with all the hot actors and get all that glitz and spot light action!\u00a0 Quite a hole in the career path.<\/p>\n

Comedian and A-list actor Kevin Hart announced early Friday morning that he \u201cmade the choice to step down\u201d from hosting the 91st Academy Awards amid a backlash over the resurfacing of\u00a0previous gay jokes and tweets.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have made the choice to step down from hosting this year\u2019s Oscar\u2019s\u2026.this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists,\u201d Kevin Hart tweeted. \u201cI sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Well, yes, yes, it is a terrible disappointment to Mr. Hart.\u00a0 It would have been quite a career mark for him to serve as the honorary host of such an august and glorious awards event.<\/p>\n

I remember back in prison in the late ’80s one of my fellow inmates commented upon the prevalence of sodomy among white people.<\/p>\n

“Black people don’t do that!” he remarked, generally speaking, I must concede.<\/p>\n

I don’t believe he thought all black folk immune to that particular expression of sin.\u00a0 But that was his impression and I can’t say that it was not my impression that those reputed to be of that bent in the “joint” were predominantly of the whiter cast.<\/p>\n

Anyway, the times, they are a changin’ and there of all kinds of folks bent – and bending over (I can’t help it!)- in that direction.<\/p>\n

The matter prompting this meditation is the perception I\u00a0 have that the dominate Sodomy-supporting class is on the verge – if not over the cliff with a zeal –\u00a0 of coercing folks who hate sin (sodomy included) – to not just tolerate<\/u>, but respect<\/em> and accept<\/em> it!<\/p>\n

A peculiar notion for the land of the free, “one Nation under God,” and so forth it is.\u00a0\u00a0 How is it possible for a nation under God to entertain even the possibility of censuring those who despise sin and uphold righteousness?<\/p>\n

And if the rejoinder is that we are, by law or evolving tradition or Court edit, no longer a nation under God, then let those who think we ought rather to return to the foundations consider other options: secession, revolution, etc.<\/p>\n
