The Air That I Breathe?

(So goes a popular song.  Intentions of the songsters are good, but . . .)

“You’re the air that I breathe”?
Well, the intention was good,
One may suppose, but
The words just didn’t come out well.
God is a bit more that the “Air that I”
Or anyone else might “Breathe.”
He made the air and the earth
And history and all that we go through.
He also made the hell into which He will cast
All who have refused to repent from their sins
And to bow before the one and only Savior.
He is not only the Savior, but the Judge,
The Executioner, who terminates everlastingly.

Fear the One who, after you have been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!” (Luke 12:15).    At that point, Jesus is not your friend.  Believe that!
