Classical is a Delightful Selection
I gave up giving my computer a “stare”
For listening to music in my chair.
Classical is a delightful selection,
Though sacred music reaches perfection.
What better than to praise the Lord,
A task that never leaves one bored?
Music lifts and makes the spirit merry;
You need not for church and prayer to tarry.
Play those tunes and let your heart be glad;
Overcome all that makes you sad.
The language of the soul is there to be heard;
Makes the spirit fly like a bird,
Soaring above the din and the fray,
Defeating the challenges of the day.
Sing to Him and lighten your heart,
Telling Him your faults and wrongs,
Exulting as you sing those songs;
Forgiveness pouring down like rain
Washing away your sin and pain.
