Idiocracy

Such is a democracy without divine standards.  A friend sent me the term, recently; first I had ever heard of it – that I can remember.  It certainly has a ring; might be some distant memory: a thought floating around in many-a mind, perhaps.

But, indeed, that is the destiny to which democracy descends when it is without the guidance of a “constitution” – truth and some standard and principles by which to establish and sustain justice.

That is the service the Scriptures and the Creeds provide.  They speak of a Lawgiver and His Law: the Big Ten, to be direct.

That code forbids theft, murder, adultery (fornication, included), lying (falsely against another), image worshiping, blasphemy, and greedy pursuit of another’s property.

To pursue one’s own pleasure without these guiding principles is, indeed, to establish an “idiocracy.”  If our “courts” encourage, then, idiocracy, to hell with them.

Return to the Law.  Return to God.

Let our courts throughout the land acknowledge Him and His law!  No separation from truth and justice.
