Buck Up and Take Your Place

The old man has a beard all scraggy
Over cheeks hangin’ down saggy,
Walks to town for exercise,
Reads his Bible to stay strong and wise.
The fire was burnin’ in the room,
Time for prayin’ would run out soon.
Lots of folks to think about,
Their health and professional route.
Good to know He’s got control
Not just of the body, but also the soul.
We can do all things by His power
No need to fuss in the minutes of the hour;
He’ll get on back here soon enough.
Whate’er your troubles and however tough,
He can handle them with power and grace.
You are never alone in the race,
So buck up and take your place,
He’ll make a way; He rules all space.
