“Restart”

(Encouragement for those singles out there)

Moved by a puck
He was urgent
To find the lady
He knew
Could bring him
The joy of a lifetime
Once in the marital room.
He searched high and low
Right, left and below.
No terrain he would
Not attempt.
And as he went on
The thought did dawn:
The woman he chased
Was not worthy!
Noble enough was he
But no better was she.
And no inspiration needed
He took stock of himself
Left regrets on the shelf
Done with the strife
He began a new life.
