Shortage of Abortionists
(Excerpts from “The Radical Fringe”)

Buffalo blessings

“In the weeks after [the abortion of Abortionist Slepian] on Oct., 23, four workers – a fourth of the clinic’s staff – quit, with some saying their families could no longer endure the threat of violence and others explaining they were simply too overwrought” (New York Times, 24 January, 1999)

Short on ’borts

[Please note that in the following citations, the words in brackets serve to supplant pro-abortion propaganda terms with terms which more accurately convey the truth that is being suffused by the use of euphemism. The authors hoped to disabuse minds of those who had succumbed to such propaganda terms that historically always accompany efforts to cover or pervert the truth. But more to the immediate point, the authors sought to amuse those whose eyes were already opened. What follows is as it appeared in the original CACN publication of the Spring of 1999.]

Jackie Cooperman (ABC News, 23 Jan.) reports on the dearth of abortionists throughout the land. “Many doctors said that increased violence against [abortionists] has led hospitals and medical schools to eliminate or severely curtail abortion training.
“And [abortionists] who [commit] abortions are in peril.

“Since 1977, five [abortionists] have been slain and 14 have been targeted, according to the National Abortion Federation. There have been 36 abortion-related bombings[!], 150 cases of arson[!], and 330 [abortionists] have been stalked away from their [abortuaries], NAF says.”

Now, why is it that when either an abortuary goes up in smoke or an abortionist is smoked one hears those judgmental pro-lifers whine thusly: “It doesn’t do any good! It only gives the movement a bad name!”?

I dare say these blokes are fibbing! The facts, as illustrated above, have long indicated that much good results from the above-referenced deeds.

The report continues: “FEWER DOCTORS ARE PERFORMING ABORTIONS.” We could rewrite that sentence with more truth and accuracy as follows: Fewer abortionists are committing child murder.

More uplifting news: “[Abortionist] Louis Koplik, a retired ob-gyn practitioner in Albuquerque, is familiar with attempts to intimidate [dead baby] providers.

“Protesters have distributed leaflets in his neighborhood that call him a murderer. He has had to close the [abortuary] he opened in 1973 when the landlord refused to renew his lease after protesters made repeated arson attempts[!]”

(Keep reading. Aah, this is w-o-o-o-nderfully exhilarating!)

The specter of violence means that [Abortionist] Irving Rust, an [abortionist] at Planned Barrenhood of New York City, dresses extra casually when he heads to the [abortuary] that allots $250,000 annually for security costs[!].

“I don’t come in dressed like a doctor,” said Rust. He “walks past security guards, through a metal detector and swipes his electronic key card to gain access to his [victims]”

(Superb documentation of the shortage. Wonderful news, NAF!)

Pennsylvania

Haven’t heard much out of Pennsylvania lately. We have news report (lost documentation, c. 9 December, 1998) out of York which says “ Threats of explosions and death allegedly directed at a Planned Parenthood clinic in York . . . have resulted in charges against a York County man. Federal prosecutors say Douglas Mahady of Lewisberry has been indicted on charges related to a bomb threat directed at the York clinic. Mahady allegedly demanded that the clinic close or he would detonate a bomb that would destroy the operation and kill all staff members.”

Louis Powell, Good riddance

Back in early September, when Louis Powell went, arguably, to hell, the Petersburg, Virginia paper wrote, “Not all of the spectators praised the former justice. Abortion protesters, carrying a sign depicting a bloody fetus, were less than favorable in their assessment of Powell, who cast one of the votes in the Roe v. Wade decision guaranteeing women the right to an abortion.”

Mark Goodell, Don Spitz, and a third witness were on the scene. “‘He’s not a wonderful person like the people are proclaiming him to be,’ said the Rev. Donald Spitz, director of Pro-Life Virginia, ‘He was a very evil man. He voted to make legal the killing of unborn babies.’”

Mr. Goodell reports on the event as follows: “The Supreme Court justices and other dignitaries were sort of forced to absorb a first hand view of the terrible signs, since we were positioned right across the narrow street from them, on the other side of the limousines that waited for them. The main thing was to not let the event go completely untouched. It is scandalous that there was not a giant demonstration of some kind. Powell was one of the great “monsters” of the 20th century – albeit a very nice person otherwise.”

Amen, brothers! Thanks for bearing witness to the truth lest his mourners be deceived and follow in his wicked ways.
